PMCNC wasn’t founded because the industry needed another owner’s representative. It was founded because owners deserve something more: someone who listens before advising, asks thoughtful questions, and measures success by the outcomes that matter to them. That’s the kind of partner PMCNC set out to be.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

It started with an observation.<\/h2>\n\n\n

Over the course of his career, Steve Hess noticed something that changed the way he thought about projects. The biggest challenges rarely came from a lack of engineering, architecture, or construction expertise. They came from uncertainty, competing priorities, difficult conversations, and owners trying to make important decisions without all the information they needed.<\/p>\n\n\n

He believed there had to be a better way — not by taking control of a project from the owner, but by giving the owner the clarity and confidence to lead it well. PMCNC was built around that belief.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

After decades of advising owners through complex capital projects, Steve has learned that his greatest value is helping people see the path forward when decisions feel complex and the stakes are high. His passion is helping owners protect their interests while bringing project teams together around a shared vision.<\/p>\n\n\n

Projects are built by people. Successful projects certainly require technical expertise, sound planning, and disciplined execution. But they often struggle when people lose alignment, communication breaks down, important information does not reach the people who need it, decisions are delayed, and trust begins to erode.<\/p>\n\n\n

The technical solution usually exists. The challenge is helping people find it together. One of the most valuable contributions an advisor can make is creating the conditions that allow a project team to work effectively while remaining focused on the owner’s long-term interests.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
